It was Easter weekend 1948, when The White Lady first towed on.
An idea born from Bryan “Pop” Washer to serve the hungry (and thirsty) 6oclock swill.
Parked up on the curb, The White Lady quickly became a popular eating and meeting place.
Today The White Lady is widely known as an institution, a rite of passage and an icon of Auckland City.
A mention of the name will bring back memories and stories from many Kiwis and travellers from all walks of life.
Generations later we continue building our business on quality, reliability and hard work to bring you the best burgers and shakes in that unique Kiwi way.
Our burgers are cooked to order using only fresh premium ingredients. Our New Zealand beef and bacon is free farmed and we only use fresh free range chicken and eggs. Produce is handpicked by us daily from local markets.
A White Lady burger should taste fresh, like you made it at home. Nothing too fancy, nothing fake. Just real quality, straight of the grill.
You can find our burgers at events, festivals and concerts around Auckland. You will still be served by the same Washer family and our dedicated team.
Thank you for supporting a real New Zealand owned business.
